Cel-Fi Deployment
Cel-Fi Deployment
ROC Communications implemented a Cel-Fi G41 Distributed Antenna System to resolve poor mobile reception in a regional NSW aged care facility, ensuring seamless communication for residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining safety and minimising disruption.
Project Challenges
• Poor mobile reception affecting residents, staff, and visitors.
• Careful planning needed to minimise disruption in an aged care setting.
• Daily fire rating reinstatement for safety compliance.
• Avoiding accidental alarms while working around fire detection systems.
ROC Approach
ROC conducted an in-depth site survey to assess the layout and specific connectivity needs. A detailed quote was then provided, outlining the design and costs of the proposed solution.
The chosen solution involved installing multiple Cel-Fi G41 Hybrid Head Ends, strategically placed throughout the building and connected via a Distributed Antenna System cabling network. This setup was selected for its ability to provide strong, consistent signal coverage across the entire complex.
Results
The Cel-Fi G41 system eliminated mobile coverage issues, providing full signal throughout the facility, including critical back-of-house areas. This transformation enhanced communication capabilities, significantly improving operational efficiency for staff and ensuring a seamless experience for residents and visitors.
